Building the Future, One Weld at a Time: Kids Invent Stuff and Lincoln Electric® Introduce Children to Cutting-Edge Tech

By

Exciting news for budding inventors across the UK! Kids Invent Stuff, the inspiring YouTube channel which brings to life kids’ invention ideas, has announced a collaboration with industry leader Lincoln Electric®. This partnership aims to showcase the innovative Voyage™ Arc VR Headset to 4–11-year-olds throughout the country.

Kids Invent Stuff introduced the Voyage Arc at the Get Up to Speed with STEM event in March 2024. The event attracted over 5,000 young people, all eager to explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  Following this success, Kids Invent Stuff is committed to using the Voyage™ Arc to continue captivating children’s imagination during their ongoing face-to-face workshops aimed at primary school children.

This collaboration holds immense potential to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of inventors and engineers. Inventors Ruth and Shawn, the creative minds behind Kids Invent Stuff, are long-time advocates for Lincoln Electric® welding solutions and have themselves utilised them in building their inventions. Their experience, coupled with Lincoln Electric®’s cutting-edge technology, promises to provide an exceptional learning experience for young children.

The virtual reality capabilities of the Voyage™ Arc offers a unique opportunity for children to step into the shoes of a welder and experience the world from a whole new perspective. This immersive technology can not only ignite a passion for creation but also foster valuable skills like problem-solving and spatial awareness.

With this exciting partnership, Kids Invent Stuff and Lincoln Electric® are poised to make a significant impact on the future of STEAM careers in the UK. By introducing young children to these innovative tools and fostering a love for invention, they are laying the groundwork for a generation of future engineers and innovators.

Ruth Amos, inventor at Kids Invent Stuff, shares her enthusiasm for the collaboration:

“It is so exciting to be able to take the Voyage™ Arc VR Headset into primary schools and to events,” says Ruth Amos, inventor at Kids Invent Stuff. “At Kids Invent Stuff we’re passionate about inspiring children and this is certainly a very exciting and forward-thinking way of doing it!
