Current Challenge

We are currently looking for inventions for Little Alex Horne! One lucky winner will have their invention built by engineers Ruth and Shawn from Kids Invent Stuff and then tested at the Taskmaster House by Little Alex Horne himself. The deadline for submissions is Friday, the 13th of December 2024.

We’ve been working closely with IPO (Intellectual Property Office) and Taskmaster Education to create some handy tools and activities to do at school or home to help you too:

• Competition Guide & Activity Overview – In this document, we will first provide a brief overview of the competition essentials, followed by a detailed exploration of these supplementary activities. In here you can also find all the options you have to send in your invention ideas!
• Worksheet – This is the perfect template to use to draw your designs on, it includes all the space you need!
• Drawing an Invention Guide – Our top tips and tricks to creating your invention idea!
• Activity 1 (ages 4-to-7) – A great activity designed to complement the UK curriculum which is a great task for educators to do alongside the invention challenge.
• Activity 1 (ages 8-to-11) – A great activity designed to complement the UK curriculum which is a great task for educators to do alongside the invention challenge.
• Activity 2 (all ages) – A great activity designed to complement the UK curriculum which is a great task for educators to do alongside the invention challenge.
