Kids Invent Stuff is the YouTube channel (as seen on The One Show, BBC News Online and Tomorrows World Live) where 5-11 year olds have the chance to get their invention ideas built by real engineers. We do this to give more primary school kids the chance to engage with real engineering projects.
Kids are encouraged to submit their ideas for inventions to solve a different challenge each month. Ideas can be submitted as drawings or videos uploaded below. The most creative inventions are showcased on our channel and each month one idea is built and tested on camera, with hilarious consequences.
We release a weekly video, every Saturday (at 6pm):
1st Saturday – New Invention Challenge launched
2nd Saturday – Invention Showcase – Picking an invention to build!
3rd Saturday – Building a kid’s invention
4th Saturday – Testing a kid’s invention!
This month we want your invention ideas for Anti-Theft Devices – inventions to catch thieves! The closing date is the 25th June 2019. You can download our challenge worksheet here, which includes an awesome making activity. And don’t forget to watch our latest video for some invention inspiration!
