Kids Invent Stuff is the YouTube channel where 4-11 year olds have the chance to get their invention ideas built by engineers Ruth & Shawn!
Inventions like this…
We set a new invention challenge every month, each with a new theme and a new opportunity for kids to have their invention ideas brought to life on our YouTube channel!
Our challenges our open to all children aged 4-11, anywhere in the World. Check out our latest challenge here. And everything we do is free, thanks to our brilliant sponsors.
We’re entering the Krazy Races gravity race in Sheffield this June – and we need your help designing our gravity racer for the event!
Gravity racers are vehicles that race down hills using the force of gravity alone, and Krazy Races is all about creativity, silliness and racing performance, with teams racing their handmade soapbox vehicles down a live course in front of a huge crowd. So we thought – who better to design our racer than you!
We’re taking part to raise money for Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s youth homeless charity. If you’d like to support this brilliant charity then you can donate here.
We want you to invent a completely original, totally bonkers vehicle for us to build and race!
Here are some things to think about for your gravity racer design:
💡 It needs to roll on wheels
💡 It has to go down a hill using gravity alone – no engines or pedals!
💡 Someone needs to sit inside and steer it
💡 And it should make people smile or laugh!
Apart from that… go wild! The crazier, funnier and more creative your idea is, the better. And we’ll choose one winning invention to bring to life, ready to race at Krazy Races Sheffield on the 21st of June. And of course we’ll be filming the entire journey and sharing it on our YouTube and social channels.
How to enter:
Download the worksheet and submit your invention idea using the form below. The more detail, the better. The challenge closes on the 30th of April.
We can’t wait to see your ideas!
