We’re teamed up with Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust to ask YOU to come up with an invention idea that helps cheer children up when they’re feeling poorly.

Wherever you are in the world, if you’re aged 4–11, you can submit an invention idea! 

Your invention could be:

– Something to make a child smile if they’re feeling poorly

– A clever idea to help kids feel calmer when they’re worried

– Something fun for the brand-new Discovery Den (opening next year!)

– Or even something to make waiting for an appointment way more fun

The best bit? One winning invention will actually be brought to life by the Kids Invent Stuff team – and put on display in the Discovery Den at the brand-new National Centre for Child Health Technology. 

So get your thinking caps on, download the challenge sheet, and start inventing something amazing.

You’ve got until the end of February 2026 to send us your ideas.
